Grandma’s Farm

from Fare Thee Well by Rugged Little Thing

/

about

When I was young my grandparents farm was a place of endless exploring, endless food, and warm beds. It was a place where I’d wake up to the smells of coffee, pull-aparts and home made jam, and a place where I’d fall asleep to the sounds of happy aunts and uncles playing cards. Now that I’m older, it’s a place of memories, both happy and sad. This song is for my family, who all made me feel so safe and loved on those farm trips. Mostly, it is for the strongest woman I know and only wish I could have known better – My Grandma, Shirley Hague.
